In 2018 Aliens fans in the Bay Area were up for a special treat from Powerhouse Comic Con. For the first time ever, Carrie Henn, known as Newt in the Aliens movie, and Christopher Henn who played Newt's brother, reunited with Ricco Ross (Private Frost) and Cynthia Scott (Corporal Dietrich). This was a unique opportunity to meet the actors and go behind the scenes of James Cameron's 1986 classic, and some fans drove 6 hours to meet the cast, get their picture and autographs and attended the Aliens Reunion panel 'Return to Exomoon LV-426' hosted and moderated by Hardly Heroes, the official podcast of Powerhouse Comic Con. History was made again at Powerhouse Comic Con!
 
Power Rangers were represented by Ciara Hanna and Christina Masterson, the Yellow and Pink Rangers from Power Rangers Megaforce and Super Megaforce

Rosa Blasi, best-known for her roles on the hit TV shows Strong Medicine and Nickeoldeon's The Thundermans, made her first Northern California appearance.  At her panel Rosa shared with the fans her more than 300 TV episodes experience.
 
Classic Hollywood fans were able to meet Kathy Garver, who starred Cissy Davis on Family Affair and voiced Firestar on Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, Jon Provost, best known as Timmy from Lassie, and Laurie Jacobson, a celebrated Hollywood researcher and author, and hear many behind the scenes stories.

Comic book artists will be represented by the industry heavyweights Danny Bulanadi (Captain America, The Fantastic Four, Daredevil, West Coast Avengers, The Blue Beetle, The Further Adventures of Indiana Jones), Chris Marrinan (Nova, Excalibur, Doctor Strange), Luis Rivera (The Mis-Adventures of Adam West, Robin Hood), and Peter Secosh (The Bod, Doll and Creature, Nocturnals: Troll Bridge, Vampirella) who were joined by indie comic stars Tobe Daranouvong (Villain Comic) and Omar Morales (CruZader: Agent of the Vatican, The Moongirl).

Calamity Caller Cosplay, Princess Marly Cosplay and West Wylde Cosplayer also made an appearance to take pictures and connect with kids and adults alike.

Powerhouse Comic Con's very own Colossus Girl was in the house and greeted fans as they were entering the show. 
​
The vendor hall featured variety of comic book, toy and game vendors, as well as an Artist Valley showcasing the art from the best local artists.
 
Fans participated in celebrity panels hosted and moderated by Hardly Heroes, the official podcast of Powerhouse Comic Con, featuring the Aliens cast, Power Rangers Ciara Hanna and Christina Masterson, Rosa Blasi, Kathy Garver, Jon Provost and Laurie Jacobson. Chris Marrinan and Peter Secosh at their panel talked about being an artist in a tech world, cosplay guests  Calamity Caller Cosplay, Princess Marly Cosplay and West Wylde Cosplayer shared their experiences in costume design, and artist Rob Deene ran  Marvel Cinematic Universe Trivial Jeoparody. Nicole Addams of Art by Digits, Kevin Pringle and Raf Salazae (InHiatus Studio) talked about their experience of being comic con artists. In between the panels DJ Lamont Walker rocked the floor.

The day was wrapped up by the Powerhouse Comic Con traditional Cosplay of Champions Cosplay Contest where the mother-son duo with an Aliens cosplay took home the grand prize of $200 cash, a trophy and the digital download card for Avengers: Infinity War provided exclusively by Marvel days ahead of the official release. 
​
​Powerhouse Comic Con also offered many fun activities for all ages: video games with thousands of classic games to choose from on free play, laser tag, escape room. racing simulator, and kids arts&crafts corner.

Glen Camarda Photography was on site to provide professional photo ops and capture Powerhouse Comic Con 2018 that took place July 28th. 2018 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA.

History was made. Fun was had.
